Southeast Asia – Coconut City

Thai Sister Chaw Chaw and Hong Kong Sister Winnie
INTRODUCTION: Due to the protracted civil war, there are many single parent families, orphans, and widows in this area. Grace Center is located in a border town of Coconut City, and they help about 80 children of single parent families and orphans who don’t have the financial ability to help themselves. Sister Chaw Chaw, who is Thai, Sister Winnie from Hong Kong, and Uncle Luk, a local man of Chinese descent, worked together to open Grace Center.
Personal & Family
- Pray the Lord protects and cares for Sister Chaw Chaw, who is in charge of the orphanage, Grace Center. She needs a cataract removal operation this year; pray God blesses the operation.
- Pray for Sister Winnie, who has osteoporosis. The cartilage is worn away and she can’t walk very far, not more than a hundred meters, or else it’s extremely painful for her. Pray the Lord heals her.
Ministry
- Pray for success in their application for an orphanage license.
- Pray for the border of Coconut City to open, as it has been closed due to the epidemic, and 48 of their children in Lychee City have been unable to return to Coconut City to go to school.
- Pray for their orphans and children as they study in a local Buddhist school. Christian schools are very few in their area and very far away. May the Lord protect the children’s hearts so they are not affected by the Buddhist teaching but that they focus on the Lord and look only to God.
Southeast Asia – Banana City & Lychee City

Brother Tai and Xiao Ling
Personal & Family
- Pray for Brother Tai’s new baby daughter. He has to take care of all the housework and doesn’t get enough sleep. May God give him strength in spirit and in body.
- Pray for Brother Tai’s wife as she recovers from childbirth.
Ministry
- Recently in Lychee City traffic to and from the camps in the mountains has been cut off by mud- and rock-slides resulting from the rains, and adding to that the effects of the pandemic, all work opportunities, even for illegal work, has been cut off. So life in the mountain camps is even more difficult. May the Lord open the way for Brother Tai to take food in to those camps!
- Pray for more workers to feel moved to join the ministries in Banana City and Lychee City.
- Brothers and sisters in Banana City have had to leave their hometowns because of their faith. The villagers reject and exclude Christians, and brothers and sisters are persecuted and even personally injured. May God protect their lives and enable them to stand even in the face of trials.
- During this pandemic in Banana City, communication between the two sides has been cut off. Brother Tai knows that houses of brothers and sisters need to be rebuilt after being destroyed by the windstorms and that people from different houses are now crowded together in tiny places. Of course this sometimes leads to conflict. Pray for a spirit of unity in this area. Our hope is to see barriers between different ethnic groups broken by the Lord.
Brother Yuen
Personal & Family
- Pray for peace for him and his family.
Ministry
- Pray for his ministry.
