Zane’s chicken house

Zane & Nancy

Personal & Family

  • It’s the rainy season in Chili City, and the weather is very humid. Nancy is not used to it, and it is causing her some stomach problems. Pray she can get used to the climate.
  • Nancy is going back to her hometown for 20 days during August. Please pray she has a good rest while she’s home, and also that she can deal with two matters: her residence paper and her medical card, without any major problems.
  • Their vehicle is old and needs repairs and spare parts. Pray that after repairing it, they’ll be able to continue using it.

Ministry

  • Thank God, their local villagers have all been tested, and none have been infected with the virus.
  • At the beginning of July, Zane was a bit careless and had a fall; but thankfully it didn’t cause any major problem for him, and now he’s much better. We also thank God that, at the end of July, one day when Zane was collecting eggs in the chicken house, a snake more than a meter long fell down on his shoulders, then immediately to the ground, where it slithered away. He himself was fine and suffered no injury.
  • In their area it rains a lot from July through September, so they can’t always go to the mountains to visit brothers and sisters personally; they can just contact them online. Pray for them to have wisdom for pastoring the brothers and sisters there through the means available to them.
  • There’s a brother who got out of prison quite recently whose self-esteem is quite low; may the Lord help him to be confident and to love the Lord more.
  • Pray for some brothers and sisters whose kidneys don’t function properly, who have to have dialysis; may the Lord provide their financial needs.

Brother Tai & Xiao Ling

Personal & Family

  • Lately in areas around Brother Tai’s hometown, the pandemic situation has become tense again, and they are strictly controlling entry into the region. In addition, the couple that was originally serving the church has gone home and not returned. So Brother Tai is not going back to visit his hometown now, but staying to serve the church. Pray his ministry there will have God’s abundant blessing.

  • Brother Tai’s mother sometimes wishes he could go back to their hometown and take care of her; may the Lord protect his mother’s health, and her faith.
  • Local controls are very strict. It has become especially difficult for the church to meet together every week. May the Lord give Brother Tai physical health and strength to continue serving, and may God strengthen his faith and make him strong and courageous in service. Pray for local officials, that the Holy Spirit will enlighten them and turn them to God.

Ministry

  • He’s already received some goods to deliver to refugees; but because of the worsening pandemic, it would be very hard to take them to the people. Some small customs points were about to open up, but now they’ve been shut tightly again. May the Lord open the way!
  • Some brothers and sisters in Banana City are weak in faith: some have gone back to planting marijuana, and some families were arrested and sent to prison for doing so. We hope that in prison they can repent and that God will have mercy on them.
  • Lately the amount of military conflict in Lychee City is decreasing, but the pandemic situation is still severe. Many people are still choosing to stay in the mountains, living in primitive relief tents or shacks. From July to September is the rainy season here; and once it starts to rain, it often keeps on for a week or two. The tents and shacks they have are leaky, and in their area, landslides are common. Please pray for their safety, and pray for the pandemic situation there.
