Following the Crowd — Vs. — Distinguishing the Truth

Dear Friends of Nexus,

There are two sides to every story. The first one to speak sounds true until you hear the other side and they set the record straight. Proverbs 18:17 (TPT)

This Scripture reminds us not to follow the crowd blindly, but to discern the truth and carefully seek verification.

Media reports make wars in Lebanon and Syria sound fearful, but the real story can be told only by the local people. In mid-March, the Nexus Team and short-term mission teams from South Africa and Australia traveled to radicalized areas in Lebanon such as Baalbek and the southernmost part of the country, close to the Israeli attack area — not because we are trying to be brave but because countless souls are still living here.

When we visited the House of Hope in Olive City, Syria, we witnessed the cruelty of poverty and war — entire families living in the garbage dump, scavenging for their food. But we also saw another story — that of Jesus not forgetting nursing infants. We shared the Lord’s love with young believers and others in the church and saw their tenacious faith in Him. This kind of beautiful story is also unfolding in Lebanon and Syria.

Lebanon – Tree City **Jana’s Desire**

Jana’s Desire

Six-year-old Jana looks forward to coming to Nexus School every day because it is her ‘happy place.’ But one day recently, every 10 or 15 minutes throughout the day she kept asking, “When can I go home?” repeatedly. The teacher thought she was just anxious about something; but after a rest break Jana kept asking the same question and soon burst into tears. So, the teacher asked her gently, “Jana, why are you so sad today?”

Tearfully she said, “I’m so hungry! There’s been no bread at my home since yesterday.” Immediately, we gave her something to eat.

The center prepares meals for students on a regular basis, and we always have extra food on hand to ensure no one is going hungry. But Jana’s words, “I’m so hungry!” hurt our hearts deeply.

Nexus Northern Thailand Short-term Mission Trip — A Testimony of Love

During Thailand’s 2024 rainy season, I came with the mission team to serve in Grace Center. We encountered the worst flash flood disaster in the area in the last 30 years! Flooding had destroyed roads and buildings. Upon our arrival, the heartbreaking, desolate scene before us — houses damaged; mud covering everything, filling the air with its musty odor — surrounded us. But amidst the desolation we also saw God’s mercy — His hand began gathering brothers and sisters from all over the world to bring revival and hope to this land!

Grace Center After the Rain

For a period of about three months, uncounted brothers and sisters have extended their hands, donating generously and providing practical help — clearing away mud and silt, repairing facilities, moving furniture, purchasing supplies. Every contribution, large or small, has been woven into a beautiful picture of love!

In February 2025, I set foot on this land again and saw Grace Center has regained its vitality. The once-displaced children now have a warm home; the traumatized church is now filled with love.

The mission team visits again, sharing God’s Word, encouraging and donating supplies, furniture, etc.
A Truckload of Chairs, Tables, Refrigerators, TVs, Guitars, Microwaves, etc.!
The entire Center had to be disinfected and the road outside the Center, a private road, was rebuilt.

**Because of your love, this land has seen the glory of God. **

**Because of your actions, this land feels God’s love. **

**Let us work together to cultivate tomorrow’s leaders for the Kingdom of God! **

Letters from Pakistan :

Dear Friends in Christ Jesus,

Thank God for His grace! Over the past seven weeks, we have distributed 800 New Testaments and gospel tracts in Karachi. Although some people refused them at first, when they found the materials were free, they happily accepted them.

After receiving a Bible in Sunday School, a little girl began reading it regularly. Then during a meeting she requested three Bibles for her friends and cousins. We were deeply moved by her enthusiasm.

We’ve witnessed the complete transformation of Azim’s life! This young man, once bound by drugs, began receiving visitors from the church. He soon joined it, successfully quit drugs, and by taking adult literacy courses has been able to read the Bible on his own. His spiritual life continues to grow!

In addition, we have started an adult literacy program in the village that teaches Urdu and English and set up a school where more than fifty children are studying under local teachers. We have distributed hygiene kits to children at the Brick Kiln School and provided food packages to 52 families, bringing hope and help.

In the coming months, we hope to distribute a thousand Bibles and share the love of the Lord. Please pray for us — for funding, more Bibles, and believers’ growth. May God bless you all! Thank you for joining us!

“Enter through the narrow gate…For the gate is narrow and the way is difficult, and few find it.” (Matthew 7:13–14)

We need companions to go through this “Narrow Gate” together with us and receive the reward that few receive. Please support the Seed Project to bring the love of Christ to places of suffering. We pray, “Give us this day our daily bread,” but for too many, “daily bread” remains out of reach. So, we choose to be that “daily bread”, sharing what we have, being the hands of Jesus, embracing those who need it most.

We invite you to participate with prayers and donations. No matter how big or small, your support changes lives and spreads love and hope!
