\nIn 2015, we were blessed by Nexus Mission with a 40-foot container of clothing with tons and tons of items. Nexus sent many other items the following year, including a full set of dental equipment, after mobilizing many churches and companies in China. We have made uncounted distributions to the refugees, until, finally, now at the end of July we finished delivering our last items. Our stock is literally empty of clothing, and we praise God for the Chinese and USA churches that have blessed us so much. It\u2019s already been more than a year we have not received any more donated containers, but the needs of the families we serve are immense. So let us pray that the Lord will open more doors so we may continue to support our community in this way. May God always be praised! Give thanks!<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/a>We are grateful for the church in Singapore which in November donated a 20-foot container, which was sent to Tree City, full of winter clothing for families served by Nexus Center.<\/p>\n The Camp next to Nexus Center has a hundred children who haven\u2019t received any education<\/strong> at all since they came and settled in Tree City seven years ago. We are preparing Nexus Center to welcome them, as Jesus said, \u201cLet the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.\u201d Mt 19:14<\/p>\n Edward, a Member of a Chinese Mission Team Visits a Refugee Camp<\/strong><\/p>\n As Brother Edward drove into the valley area of Tree City, everywhere he saw the crude refugee tents grouped in camps. Conditions were pitiful\u2014no proper electrical or water supply, no sewage or garbage disposal facilities, children unable to attend school, adults with no opportunity to work. They were trapped in this fate because of the destruction of their country. They had become homeless wanderers, having lost loved ones and even the ability to regulate their lives; they were unable to rise above the pain and hopelessness of it all.<\/p>\n My wife and I, along with Fan and his wife visited one refugee family. An elderly grandmother and her young unmarried daughter invited us in. Her elder daughter had gone to the hospital that day because she had felt something wrong with her heart. We learned the elder daughter\u2019s husband had been killed when terrorists blew up a bus in Olive City. She had three children: her eldest son was in the army, and her six-year-old daughter Haifa and five-year-old son had cerebral palsy; they couldn\u2019t sit up or talk.<\/p>\n Grandma brought out Haifa and her little brother. All they could do was lie there on the floor mat, their little bodies having continual spasms. Both were looking at us with their large eyes and long lashes. My wife picked up Haifa and held her close, saying over and over in English, \u201cHaifa, you are so pretty\u2014you are such a beautiful girl!\u201d<\/p>\n Brother Fan\u2019s wife picked up the other child, and after getting permission from Grandma we started praying in Chinese for the two of them: \u201cLord Jesus, please have mercy, heal these two children and supply the needs of this family.\u201d<\/p>\n We spent about an hour in their tent. When my wife was about to put Haifa down and say goodbye, Haifa burst out crying loudly. It was clear she had felt the love of our Lord Jesus as my wife had held her, and she didn\u2019t want us to leave. Even though she couldn\u2019t speak, she understood very well what was going on. When I saw this, I couldn\u2019t hold back my tears!<\/p>\n Every tent and every family we visited had an unforgettable story to tell, even though some of the stories couldn\u2019t be told. And although we couldn\u2019t understand completely everything they were trying to tell us, the Lord Jesus is clearly moving us to ask you one question: What can you do for them?<\/strong><\/p>\n It\u2019s already been seven years<\/strong> since these people fled for their lives, and they don\u2019t even have homes to remember. There are a hundred children near here who have had no education at all, orphans, and widows.<\/p>\n This is why we are uniting together to set up a Nexus Center near these refugee camps, so we can put James 1:27 into practice:<\/strong> \u201cReligion that God our Father accepts\u2026to look after orphans and widows in their distress\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n Love to Levant will continue; we are putting James 1:27 into practice, and they are welcoming what we offer.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/a>
