Dear Partners in Christ,

Act, Love, Walk…for the Glory of the King!

One of the core principles of Christianity is kindness. We also know it as “The Golden Rule.” Much wisdom is contained in this rule! Micah 6:8 says, “He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” (NIV)

Brother E sent us a few photos from his recent visit in Bekaa Valley in Lebanon. He relates, “My son Joshua distributed his candy to those children and said, “They don’t have shoes to wear. They are so pitiful—I want to give my candy to them.” (Joshua is 3 years old.)

From the beginning of sending emails and We Chat messages, to the end when the packing was completed, this container full of clothing and supplies took only 18 days! God works amazingly fast! Today all the supplies were moved from the warehouse to the port, and the day after tomorrow, Feb 4, the ship leaves. According to the schedule, they will arrive at the Levant 20 days later. During the packing process, workers and even those in charge of the warehouse were saying that our abundant supply of relief goods were far too many and wouldn’t be able to fit into the container—they said there would be about 15 boxes left over! All we could do was to stand and watch, silently praying…in the end there were just two small boxes of used clothing that wouldn’t fit in. Not only did we heave a sigh of relief at the works of our Heavenly Father, but we were very conscious of the prayers our team for us. Please continue to pray for smooth customs clearance and timely arrival, and for peace and salvation for the suffering refugees!

In the 11 boxes of ‘used clothing’ that had been sent from the Northeast of China there was a lot of new clothing! Some of the brothers and sisters, clothing merchants who didn’t have time to get in new inventory, simply took the clothing straight off their racks in their shops to pack and send as donations for this project, and others bought new clothing and sent it.

The contents of the 20-foot container is clothing and shoes, as follows (80% are children’s, half each for boys and girls):

shoes                20%,
underwear      30%,
coats                 30%,
used clothing  10%,
daily needs      10%

Dear Family Members in Christ,

Greetings from freezing northeast China! On behalf of all the Nexus Team, we give thanks to God for your faithfulness and obedience in praying for and supporting the “Love to the Levant” project. A 20-foot container of LOVE, consisting of needed items for Syrian and Iraqi refugees in Lebanon and Jordan, requested by our coworker at the scene, is now loaded. In early February it will be sent from mainland China via the East China Sea to the Levant! Estimate arrive in end of Feb.
Please pray for customs clearance—that all items can get through quickly without paying much tax. Please also pray for all sea and land transportation arrangements until the goods are safely in the hands of needy Syrian and Iraqi refugees.

Thank you for your act of Kindness!

Your servant, Nexus Mission
