2020 04 Nexus Mission Prayer Requests

Water City, South Asia

Lewis and Lucy

Personal and Family:

  • Their family of four arrived safely back in Water City but now are being forced to move. (Because of the epidemic, people are displaying some prejudice. Lewis and Lucy have been here five years, but now the landlord is making them look for another place to live.) They really need some comfort; please pray they can find a suitable new home.
  • Pray for them and their family members to have a close relationship with the Lord and to understand His will.
  • Pray for Lewis’s new visa, for what the new company is going to do, and for their choice of coworkers.

Ministry:

  • Pray for the homes of the coworkers they serve, that their eyes be opened to understand the True Way.
  • Pray for the local community medical service they do, that they can give real help to the people. Pray for wisdom for them in speaking with outsiders.

Jeremy and Iris

Personal and Family:

  • Jeremy arrived back in Water City the beginning of March and first had to isolate himself at home for 14 days. This time, Jeremy returned alone first in order to find a way to get a long-term visa. Please pray their whole family can get long-term visas to Water City. At this time they still haven’t found a good way and really need God to open the way for them.
  • Please pray for their finances. They need money for monthly living expenses including their children’s education expenses on the field, for buying some furniture, etc.
  • Also please pray for Iris and the two children in Korea. May the Lord give her more strength to take care of the children well during this time she is separated from her husband.

South Africa

South Africa, INcontext International Ministries is our friends and buddy shares with us of their prayer request:

1. That the Lord will prevent the virus from spreading into informal/township/slumb areas.

2. That the Lord will give wisdom to the government as they are trying their best to stop the spread of the virus.

3. That the Lord will protect all medical personal against invection, and give them strength and energy to continue serving.

4. That the Church will be sensitive to their role in the current situation. We can’t do much physically, because we are forced to stay in our homes, but we can pray and we can encourage.

5. Pray that Christians will make the most of their time in lockdown to spend intimate time with the Lord and hear from Him what He wants to tell us during this season.
