Dear Nexus Mission Family,

They Are Not People in the News. They Are My Friends.

When Prices Keep Rising, God Remains Our Provider

A few days ago, I accompanied my parents, Giles and Joan, to the market to buy daily necessities. We noticed that the prices of the same groceries had risen significantly compared to just a few days earlier. On our way home, my father calmly said, “Praise the Lord, He will always provide.”

At that moment, I was reminded once again of God’s faithfulness.

My parents could have chosen a more comfortable and secure life elsewhere, yet they have remained in Iran, continuing to serve in this land that God loves. Despite economic challenges and ongoing uncertainty, they faithfully share the love of Christ with those around them.

When Others Move Forward, Where Is My Path?

I am currently a university student.

As I watch my classmates graduate, start families, and make plans for their futures, I sometimes find myself asking God, “Lord, where is my future?”

The pressures of academic life and the uncertainty of what lies ahead can occasionally leave me feeling confused and discouraged. Yet God continually reminds me that true peace does not come from having all the answers, but from trusting that He is always walking beside me.

One Question That Reminded Me of My Calling

Recently, a classmate asked me,

“With so much uncertainty around you, how are you still able to have peace?”

This simple question reminded me once again that God has brought me here not merely to complete my education, but also to be a witness of His love and faithfulness.

They Are Not Numbers in the Headlines

Every day, whether on campus, in cafe, or at the marketplace, I encounter many young people.

Like young people everywhere, they care about their families, dreams, and future. They long for love, peace, security, and hope.

Each conversation deepens my understanding of God’s love for the people of Iran. Please pray that the Lord will reveal Himself to them and that many more will come to know the Savior who alone can give true hope.

Learning to Trust While Waiting

My future direction in life, including marriage, is something I regularly bring before the Lord in prayer. God is teaching me that:

Faith is not knowing when God will act but trusting that He is never late.

My prayer is that I will learn to obey Him while I wait and trust Him during uncertainty.

At times, I feel like just an ordinary university student. But God reminds me that anyone who is willing to obey Him can become a vessel in His hands.

You may not be able to come to Iran personally, but every prayer you offer is participating in what God is doing in this land.

I look forward to the day when we gather in heaven and see the many lives that have been transformed through the faithful prayers of God’s people.

Prayer Requests, Please pray for:

  1. My parents’ ministry, health, and daily provision in Iran.
  2. My studies, spiritual growth, and witness on campus.
  3. God’s guidance for my future, including His direction regarding marriage.
  4. More young people in Iran to come to know Christ and receive true hope.

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7)

With gratitude,

John
