2026 09 Nexus Prayer Letter
Levant – Lebanon – Nexus Center

Personal
1) Please pray for Vera’s recovery journey, including her adaptation to a prosthesis and her biomechanical therapy. May the Lord grant her strength and confidence, and may she experience God’s guidance and provision at every step.
2) Please pray for Jacobus, a missionary from South Africa. May the Lord grant him peace, wisdom, and clear direction and enable him faithfully to use the gifts God has given him to serve the Lord.
Ministry
1) Please pray for the preparations for Nexus Center’s winter term. May this be a season filled with God’s presence and the work of the Holy Spirit. May students experience God’s love; and may teachers be empowered to serve with wisdom, creativity, and passion.
2) Please pray for the youth ministry. May the young people grow steadfast in their faith, build a closer relationship with the Lord, and witness boldly for Christ.
3) Please remember the brothers, sisters, and families in the church who are facing difficulties. May the Lord provide all they need and grant the church the resources and wisdom to support them with practical care and assistance.
Pakistan (Glen & Maya)

Family
1) Our family members are suffering various cold symptoms such as fever, cough, and runny nose. May God heal and protect us – may He restore our health and help us regain our strength quickly.
2) Our second daughter has just started school and is adapting to school life and environment. May the Lord help her to settle into her studies quickly, and may she experience peace and joy in this new phase.
3) Our eldest daughter, now in fourth grade, is facing more challenging coursework than before. May the Lord grant her wisdom, focus, and ability to do her best in every subject, for the glory of His Name.
Ministry
1) Please pray for our workers; may they grow in faith and deepen their knowledge of the Lord Jesus. May the Lord provide for all their needs and give them peace and grace.
Karachi City – (Shalin & Jacob)
Ministry
1) On Sept 18th we will travel to a rural area for a short mission trip. May the Lord grant us safety on the journey; and may He use us to be a blessing to the local residents – to bring the love of Christ to them.
2) May the Lord bless and protect the sunrise worship service scheduled for mid-September at the beach. May the brothers and sisters experience God’s presence and grace together during the gathering and breakfast fellowship afterwards.
3) The men’s and women’s fellowships will meet on the 26th. May the Lord use these meetings to build up their spiritual lives so they support one another increasingly and grow together in Him.
Myanmar & Laos (Tiger & Xiao Ling)

Family
1) Please pray for our three children’s studies and growth in the new school term. May the Lord protect their physical, mental, and spiritual health; and may they bear a good testimony that glorifies His holy name.
2) Please pray for my (Tiger’s) mother’s health: may the Lord grant her healing and peace. We are having a family gathering this Sunday; please pray that the Lord leads our whole family to turn to Him soon.
3) Please pray for our spiritual lives, ministry, and physical health as a couple, that we may bear witness to and glorify the Lord’s holy name among our family and friends.
Ministry
1) Please continue to pray for the physical health and spiritual growth of the orphanage’s children. May the Lord provide their daily food and other needs.
2) A co-worker’s wife is six months pregnant; please pray that the Lord protects the health of the unborn child. May God graciously watch over the delivery process so that it is safe and smooth.
3) Please pray for the conflict in Myanmar; may the Lord show mercy and bring an end to the war soon, and may local believers remain strong in the Lord amidst all the difficulties and pressure.
Laos Ministry

Ministry
1) Last month we discussed the ministry situation with local leaders and co-workers; now we are facing persecution due to the intervention of certain officials. Please pray the Lord opens a way for us, grants us wisdom, and protects our co-workers.
Bangladesh (Alex & Ruth)

Family
1) Please pray for the children’s school life in this new term: may the Lord help them build good relationships with teachers and classmates; and may He grant them learning ability, wisdom, and the capacity to master their studies.
2) Please pray for Ruth’s father’s health. He is suffering from a herniated lumbar disc and intestinal issues. May Heavenly Father heal him and grant him good health and peace.
Ministry
1) Thank the Lord for enabling us to begin connecting with and training leaders of underground churches for Muslim-background believers, and that we were able successfully to hold our first such gathering. May the Lord continue to guide, develop, and build this ministry according to His will.
2) Please continue to pray for the local co-workers serving alongside us. May the Lord strengthen their faith and preserve their physical, mental, and spiritual health as they serve.
3) Pray regarding the economic hardships, rising unemployment, and social issues in Bangladesh. May the Lord protect the local people, especially the believers. May He grant them peace in this challenging environment.
Namibia (Duke & Sandy)

Family
1) Please pray for our parents back home; may the Lord preserve their health, watch over them, and grant them peace and grace.
Ministry
2) The Church has planned a Mid-Autumn Festival gospel outreach event on September 27. Please pray that the entire event goes smoothly and safely. May the brothers and sisters participate enthusiastically in the ministry and work together to advance the Gospel!
3) May the Lord touch the hearts of the seekers who attend the event and lead them to accept the Lord Jesus as their Savior. May this event bear abundant gospel fruit, for the glory of His Name!
Iran (Giles & Joan family)

Family
1) May the Lord keep our family united in heart and mind in the midst of this high-pressure environment; may we support one another and walk together in the Lord’s love!
2) May the Lord grant our children wisdom and understanding so they do not feel they are losing their identity despite all the cultural differences. May He also enable them to live out the life of Christ at school and in the neighborhood.

1) May the Lord grant us and our local coworkers breakthrough as we learn the language and culture. May He enable us to share His Truth more effectively. May He also ensure the safety of every ministry outing and cause them all to go smoothly.
2) May the Lord care for the needs of our coworkers in the mission field—spiritually, physically, and emotionally. May He grant them strength and grace!
3) May the Lord protect our coworkers and the believers at the various meeting points. May He enable them to watch over one another and stand firm without retreating when they face challenges.
Thailand – Grace Center (Sister Sasha)

1) Please pray for my family members’ physical health. May the Lord keep them safe, watch over their lives, and provide for their needs day by day.
2) Please pray regarding the funds needed to build a house for my son. May God provide everything required and keep this project under His protection so that it is completed smoothly.

1) Please pray the children continue to grow in their faith and follow God faithfully. May He guide each of them along the path to fulfill His will in their lives.
2) Here is a prayer request for Nick and his wife (our team members): May the Lord grant us a spirit of unity and enable us to work together seamlessly. May we serve the Center and the church with one heart in the Lord.
Levant – Syria – House of Hope (Samson & Leah)

Family
1) Please pray for my daughter as she begins a new school term. May the Lord grant her grace and wisdom; may He guide and protect her throughout the academic year.
2) Please pray that on our family vacation, the Lord will give us rest in body, soul, and spirit. Pray that He lets us enjoy wonderful fellowship and spiritual renewal together.
Ministry
1) Please pray for the team during their two-week break: may the Lord restore and renew them physically, mentally, and spiritually. May He empower them so that they return to ministry with renewed zeal and strength.
2) Please pray for the winter ministry season, that it may be filled with God’s presence. Ask the Lord to provide more opportunities for us to share the Gospel with children and their families.
3) Please pray for our visitation ministry, especially regarding outreach to and teaching of new families. May the team build meaningful relationships and bring the Gospel to more people.
