House of Hope Gave Children a Merry Christmas

In December 2020, they arranged a Christmas party for 3 consecutive days. A total of 145 students and 25 mothers attended.

House of Hope Testimony:  The Secret of Love

Ghaith’s father and grandfather had lost their lives in the war; and his mother had left them, remarried, and traveled to Turkey. He lived with his grandmother and brothers in his grandfather’s house. But later due to poor living conditions, the grandma moved, taking them to the city of Jaramana.

His grandmother tried to find simple ways to make enough money to support herself and the children, but she was too old to work. Their tragic circumstances began to make the children angry and hostile, and Ghaith began to suffer from asthma.

Ghaith came to the House of Hope as a shy child who didn’t want to be involved in anything and wouldn’t express his feelings. But his teacher worked to help him make friends and build up his confidence by making sure he was included in many activities.

As time went on, Ghaith changed a lot. He began to do well in his studies, to make and enjoy friends. His grandmother came to the center and thanked us for the changes she saw in Ghaith. We told her that the secret is just “Love”: Anyone’s life can be transformed by following God’s Word!
