HAND IN HAND、WALK WITH LOVE

Matthew 18:5  Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me.

Grace Center

Children at Grace Center had summer vacation from mid-March to early May. During this season, we took nine brothers and sisters to northern Thailand for a short-term mission trip. The children had a great time with the short-term mission team members. Most of the children in the center are orphans.

The sisters are 11 and 5 years old respectively. Last year, their father needed money because he was taking drugs, so he sold them at the market. Fortunately, a co-worker of the Grace Center bought them immediately and sent them to the Center. Now, they have made arrangements to go to school, and the elder sister ranks first in her exams. Thanks to the center for allowing them to know the Lord Jesus Christ. Now their lives are very happy.

The boy was sold at the market by his mother. A co-worker from the Grace Center immediately bought him for US$200 and said to the mother: “I am not buying a child, I am just helping you raise him. I hope that one day you will come back and see him.”

The brothers of the short-term mission team burned firewood to cook food in the hot weather. Everyone, including the children, had a great time eating.

Short-term mission team members sharing:

Sister Wu: “During the 8-day short visit, the group members helped each other, also I deeply realized that the children in the center are very well-behaved, smart, polite, smiling, and actively wave and hug! When you hug the children tightly, you feel so much love, so caring, so sincere, so touching, you cannot bear to part! ”

Brother Luo: “I saw that the two older co-workers (69 & 70 years old) in the center are still serving faithfully and making selfless sacrifices for the children. They could have retired and enjoyed happiness in retirement, but they chose to stay in Coconut City to serve and they have committed their whole lives to God.

This time, I experienced a simple outdoor kitchen and a high temperature of 40 degrees. The brothers of the short-term mission team themselves cooked  and prepared lunch for the children. The short-term mission team in charge almost suffered from heat stroke in this hot weather, but still completed the task with a smile to serve delicious lunches for the children. The willingness to serve really means that life affects life.

In addition, the short-term mission team came from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong and no one knew each other on the first day. Through these few days of games and activities, we got to mingle with the children, worked with our hands, worshiped together, and learned together. By the time we left, those children were hugging and crying, with a mixture of sadness and joy in their hearts. I understood that they were in great need of love. I was even more convinced that the center serves wholeheartedly and places the seeds of God’s love and hope in the hearts of the children. “

YouFu Center Children

In May, the relevant departments forced us to close the YouFu center, so the students stopped coming to the center in mid-May. Now, the relevant departments inspect the workers’ places several times a week to see if the school is continuing to operate. Pray that God will protect and watch over the future for Zane and Nancy.

Sincerely, Your servant,

Candy
