If we don’t share the gospel with them, who will?

We don’t need to apologize for our faith, nor do we need to shrink back from reality that we already know. Rather we need to keep our hearts full of a love that includes others—a love that is courageous, confident—and we need to keep our eyes fixed on the glory of God.

Dear Nexus friends, fellow travelers

Let’s stay hand in hand to fulfill the Great Commission! God has heard our prayers, and the two containers from Hong Kong and Korea have been forwarded by Levant Customs to the Culture Center.

According to weather predictions, this winter will be colder and have more snow than recent winters, and the clothing in the containers will help them stay a bit warmer. Also, during extremely cold spells this winter, we plan to provide extra food and fuel oil to help them keep warm.

Christmas in the Refugee Camp

Christmas is coming, and the children in the Levant Culture Center all know the real meaning of Christmas! The Center is having a Christmas Party to celebrate Jesus’ birth with the children and their parents. We invite you to join us in sending your love and blessings. We plan to give gifts to the children and have a turkey dinner, the cost coming to US $7.50 per child…about 80 children comes to $600.

Lychee City, South Asia

Myanmar refugee camp dwellers often go hungry and rarely get to eat meat. We plan to buy two pigs (total cost about US $600) so that for Christ-mas, each family can have two pounds of meat improve their nutrition, and also be comforted and encouraged in spirit. May this be a Christmas when we in our warm homes remember them in their refugee tents! Also, on this special day of Christmas, we want to give gifts of food and clothing to the orphanage children, who normally only get to eat meat once a week. We want them to know that far away, they have some friends who haven’t forgotten them (…would you like to be one?…); and we also want to celebrate the universal truth that “When one member suffers, every member suffers with it; if one member is honored, all members rejoice with it” (1 Cor 12:26).
